Always seeking adventure, Land Rover has developed the ultimate compact Christmas cabin for snowy camping in style. It has space for two adults to sleep snugly in North Pole temperatures, and it folds down to fit in the rear of the top-selling Discovery Sport. Helen Ali, Land Rover Vehicle Package Team Leader, said, “We wanted to create a Christmas cabin for Santa, in a truly Land Rover way. The spacious and versatile Discovery Sport was perfect for this project. The seats can be folded flat at the push of a button from the load space, which is wide and square and there are plenty of hidden storage spaces like the area under the front cup-holders. Building a cabin that utilized all these features was a lot of fun. We could have built this in one of our bigger models, but we wanted to prove just how versatile the baby of the Discovery family truly is.” Land Rover’s Packaging Engineer Muhammed Malik added, “Anything that wears the Land Rover badge has to be capable and versatile, with beautiful, simple design. Our cabin also had to be sustainable and easily transportable. We were so honored to work with The Bianca Rae Foundation’s Rae of Hope Retreat to raise funds at our annual Drive4Kids event in support of the non-profit organization. Founded in September 2014, the annual Rae of Hope Retreat brings together middle school girls for a day of learning about leadership, health, inner beauty, goal setting and positive fun. The mission of this retreat is to provide guidance and tools to help girls as they enter difficult teen years. Through Drive4Kids, indiGO Auto Group, BMW of Palm Springs, and our wonderfully generous customers who attended raised $43,750 for the Rae of Hope Retreat. Nearly 50 guests registered for our event and collectively donated a total of $23,750, while we at indiGO Auto Group and BMW of Palm Springs gifted an additional $20,000 to the foundation. Our guests met at BMW of Palm Springs and fueled up with refreshments before taking a police escort to the BMW Performance Center in Thermal, CA. We raced around the track in high performance BMWs during four different track activities for more than three hours. A group of 10 girls who have benefitted from The Bianca Rae Foundation’s Rae of Hope Retreat also attended Drive4Kids and had a thrilling experience around the track. On Tuesday, December 20 th, indiGO Auto Group’s Porsche St. Louis revealed the brand-new 2017 Panamera (to be released in the United States in February 2017). The team at the corporate level of Porsche Cars North America partnered with Porsche St. Louis to hold the Panamera Premiere. St. Louis was one of only eight cities in the nation to receive the honor of hosting an event to unveil the new vehicle. The evening was even more special to the team at Porsche St. Louis because it also celebrated the completion of our new facility at 2970 South Hanley Road. Porsche St. Louis will officially begin operations in the new location soon. The sleek, modern building will quickly become a hub for Porsche enthusiasts and customers in the Gateway City. During the evening, the crowd was addressed by Todd Blue, Chairman and CEO of indiGO Auto Group; Kelly Wolf, COO of indiGO Auto Group; James Drake, General Manager of Porsche St. Louis; and VIP guest Joe Lawrence, Executive Vice President and COO of Porsche Cars North America. In honor of the new building and the relationship between indiGO Auto Group and Porsche Cars North America, Mr. Blue presented Mr. Lawrence with a gift of partnership between the international brand and the local dealership. Recently, Jaguar released their newest concept, the I-PACE, which incorporates the features of the future of the automotive industry.
