Keeping Your Lamborghini Cool This Summer

It’s never ideal to leave your Lamborghini sitting in the hot sun, but occasionally it’s unavoidable. After just an hour and a half, a Lamborghini’s inside temperature is, on average, 48-degrees hotter than the outside climate. So, on a 95-degree day, your vehicle's cabin will probably be close to 143 degrees. How can you prevent your car’s interior from becoming unbearably hot? Take a look at these tips to keep your Bull cool all summer long. Consider a windshield shade. A reflective protector for your front windshield can keep your car nearly 40-degrees cooler than outside temperatures, according to AutoAnything.com. Order a custom shade to fit your Lamborghini’s windshield measurements. Follow the sun’s position. If you do have a windshield shade, it’s best to park facing the sun so that it can reflect the majority of the rays. If you don’t have a shade, park with the sun at your car’s bumper to keep the steering wheel and driver’s seat from becoming too hot. Opt for shade. While parking in a garage or climate-controlled space is ideal, in any outdoor parking situation, it’s best to choose a shady spot, even if you have to walk further to reach your destination. Also consider moving your car throughout the day (as the sun shifts in the sky) to avoid direct exposure. Crack the windows. A car sitting in the sun essentially becomes a greenhouse, trapping heat inside the small cabin. Cracking windows can prevent heat from building up by allowing some hot air to escape. These simple steps can keep your car cooler and make your commute in your Lamborghini all that much more enjoyable. To test drive a new Lamborghini, visit indiGO Auto Group’s Lamborghini Houston.

Configuring A Custom Flying Spur

Complete customization is a trademark of Bentley Motors. Visiting the manufacturer's website, shoppers can work through the various configurations available for each model. We took a moment to experience the process, choosing the Flying Spur V8 S as our base. First, Bentley Motors offers some excellent pre-designed options from which to choose. Users can, of course, go this route and add a few modifications, or they can start from scratch. We opted for the completely custom option. The online tool allowed us to see a 360-degree rendering of the future car as we designed the various elements and added features. In the custom-design frame, we began by choosing upgrade packages, like the Convenience Specification (with cruise control, rear-view camera, and valet key), the Entertainment Specification (with rear-seat screens), and the Comfort Specification (with seat ventilation and massage capabilities). Bentley Motors offers exterior color selections from every shade of the rainbow. For a feminine look, users may choose Grey Violet or Magenta, or for a darker tone, they might like Granite or Black Sapphire. We accented the exterior of our Passion Pink concept car with a single-line pinstripe, custom wheels, and a V8 S badge. Interior options are just as vast with multiple leather colors and eight veneers. Designers can add more technology options and comfort capabilities before creating a custom brochure showcasing all selections. This brochure can be taken to a local dealership to place an order. The Land Rover of the Future

This month, the technology team at Land Rover demonstrated a future feature of the off-road SUVs—All-Terrain Self Driving. Now, we know that Tesla has championed and created the self-driving car, but the ideas stemming from Land Rover’s research are beyond cool. The Land Rover team is aiming to create an SUV that can function autonomously not merely on the highway, but also in various off-road driving environments and in an array of weather conditions. Of this important project, the Head of Research for Jaguar Land Rover, Tony Harper, said, “Our all-terrain autonomy research isn’t just about the car driving itself on a motorway or in extreme off-road situations. It’s about helping both the driven and autonomous cars make their way safely through any terrain or driving situation.” The key to this technology’s success is the development of new sensors for the vehicle. 3D path-sensing research combines camera, ultrasonic, radar, and LIDAR sensors to provide a panoramic, full-environment view for the car. Because Land Rover desires this car to function in rough environments, it will also include overhead sensors in order to safely clear low-hanging tree branches or other obstacles. Additional sensors are needed under the automobile to understand the terrain and adjust the automatic driving style to suit the conditions. These self-driving off-road cars are just in the testing stages, but it’s amazing to see what diligent research and scientific development are capable of producing. Check out these two in-depth videos about Land Rover's newest endeavors. Its design was wholly inspired by Formula 1 cockpits. It’s simple—with no buttons or controls—and it provides curves and grips that complement hand placement. Integrated Intelligence. Media, communication, and entertainment are available at the touch of a button. For top-of-the-line navigation, an optional IRIS system links to the center console control panel. The Meridian audio system provides crystal-clear surround sound. Active Dynamic Panel. Control the experience of driving even more with the Active Dynamics Panel (ADP), which allows you to toggle the vehicle's handling from Normal mode, to Sport mode, to Track mode. Four Things to Know about the 2017 Audi Q7

The newest Audi Q7 is one of the safest and most advanced SUVs on the market. It combines luxury with practical driving tools to get you and your passengers from point A to point B with ease. Check out these four fun facts about the 2017 Q7. Audi’s Q7 won the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s (IIHS) 2016 TOP SAFETY PICK+ award. The SUV performed superiorly in the organization’s five crashworthiness tests, making it one of the safest automobiles on the road. The IIHS explained, “In 2016, vehicles qualify for TOP SAFETY PICK or TOP SAFETY PICK+ if they have good ratings in all five crashworthiness evaluations—small overlap front, moderate overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraints, as well as an available front crash prevention system. If the system earns a basic rating, the vehicle qualifies for TOP SAFETY PICK. The 'plus' is awarded to vehicles with an advanced or superior rating for front crash prevention.” The Q7 qualified for the additional PICK+ designation. Car and Driver also recognized the Q7 this year as a “5080-pound sanctuary of aluminum and steel.” The experts at Car and Driver deemed the SUV to be the number one in their “Chariots of the Dads” comparison test. Up against several other SUVs from various makers, such as Volvo and BMW, the Audi Q7 exceeded the expectations of the judges. The ultimate family vehicle, the Audi Q7 has seating for seven. The rear two seats fold up in preparation for the carpool crew and down to make room for all the gear necessary for a beach trip. The Q7’s virtual cockpit is the ultimate in automotive technology. Directly behind the wheel, you'll find a 12.3-inch screen displaying everything from your speed to a 3D map powered by Google. The strategic placement allows drivers to follow GPS directions without averting their eyes from the road.
