Of course it’s important to take some other preventive steps in general towards protecting your car from theft. Taking those steps will reduce the risk of having your vehicle broken into or stolen. Most new luxury vehicles on the market these days come with excellent safety features. Such features are designed to keep you safe while on the road, but they can also reduce your risk of your car being stolen. Ready to take that protection to the next level? Let’s look at some steps you can take: Always make sure you have your keys securely on you. Don't drop them near your vehicle or leave them on the front seat. Don't leave valuables on the front seat. This will draw a thief to your vehicle. Invest in items that make your vehicle look more secure. This could include something like a steering wheel lock. You may also like: The Entire Audi Lineup is Getting Dramatic Updates for 2023 Want to go even further? The National Insurance Crime Bureau has created a layered approach to protecting your car in four areas: Common sense Visible and audible devices Immobilizing devices Tracking devices According to the National Insurance Crime Bureau you should look at: 1. Common sense. You wouldn’t believe the number of cars that are stolen each year simply because someone left the keys in the ignition with the doors unlocked. It still happens in 2022! So, always remove your keys from the ignition and lock those doors. Did you know that in some places it’s actually illegal to leave a vehicle unattended with the keys in the ignition. 2. Don’t leave keys ANYWHERE in the car or even hide them on the outside. Thieves can and will find them. 3.  Always park in well-lit streets and parking lots. You can make your car even more secure by backing your car into a parking space or driveway to make it more visible to passersby and harder for the thief to work under the hood without being spotted by law-abiding citizens. Other anti-car theft quick tips: Remember to roll up your windows completely. Avoid leaving your car in parking lots for longer than necessary. Keep your valuable out of site. That means cell phones, purses and wallets. In certain cities, a steering wheel lock is a good idea and will indeed deter thieves. Last, and maybe most importantly, if you see a thief making his way into your car, dial 9-1-1 but don’t approach the criminal. Safety comes first. Always. Finally, you might also consider investing in an immobilizing devices. These devices act by shutting off your car’s electrical or fuel supply. If the criminal can’t actually drive a way with the car there’s going to be no car theft. You can also buy a tracking device for your vehicle that allows police to track down your car and recover it quickly. Don’t try to do this yourself. The 2023 McLaren Artura GT4

The 2023 McLaren Artura GT4 is Here and it's Definitely Not Street Legal!

Lightweight, ultra-efficient and, most importantly, fast. The 2023 McLaren Artura GT4 race car is currently making its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in Great Britain. And you can soon purchase this latest McLaren race car - but don’t think for a minute this machine is street legal. McLaren is well known for producing some of the fastest and most powerful cars in automotive history. Founded in the 1960s, McLaren has produced some of the most revered supercars, including the 720S and the 570S. And now there’s a new one about to make automotive history: the McLaren Artura GT4. 2023 McLaren Motorcars Artura GT4 The 2023 McLaren Artura GT4 race car employs the same brand new twin-turbo V6 engine as the McLaren Artura production model slated for release this summer. But it lacks the production model's plug-in-hybrid system, which isn't allowed in the GT4 class. To the untrained eye the race car looks pretty identical to the Artura production model - save for a few details, including its weight, which is 286 pounds lighter than the road model. It also has larger intakes on the front end, a unique wheel design, a new splitter, canards on the bumper and more vents in the hood. The GT4 is the second race car built from the ground up by the brand's motorsport division. It’s specifically designed for track use only – a celebration of McLaren’s rich racing heritage, which includes its presence in Formula 1 and Grand Touring motorsport. McLaren has already unveiled its production model Artura supercar that is also based on the same Carbon Lightweight Architecture (MCLA) platform, along with a 671hp hybrid powertrain. The McLaren Artura GT4 in Black Pricing has not been released but you can expect it to cost upwards of $245,000. The new GT4’s compact and powerful V6 engine is both lighter and more fuel efficient than the previous GT4 V8. Additionally, the transmission has shorter gear ratios than 570S GT4 and a mechanical limited slip differential for increased performance. But overall, the new Artura GT4 shares much of its technology with the McLaren Artura road car. McLaren Artura Panel The production model Artura was originally slated for release in the third quarter of 2021. However, due to the pandemic-related microchip shortage, the widely anticipated hypercar will be released in July 2022. The GT4’s stripped-out interior includes several iconic features, including racing bucket seats, adjustable pedals and a digital gauge cluster made by Bosche. McLaren Artura GT4 According to McLaren, the Artura is easier to get in and out of the Artura than the old 570S GT4, which is important for safety and driver changes. McLaren also notes that its motorsport-inspired chassis design and construction is the ideal platform for a race car, with the rigid structure enabling a wider setup envelope for the driver as well as a strong, safe driving environment. Here are some other McLaren Artura GT4 features worth noting: Light and powerful, the 2023 McLaren Artura GT4 race car is built using the brand-new McLaren Carbon Fiber Lightweight Architecture (MCLA). MCLA uses four new types of carbon fiber as well as an all-new resin system for perfected aerodynamics. The 2023 McLaren Artura GT4 boasts a dual-tone paint scheme with racing-inspired graphics as well as a sculpted hood with functional air scoops. At the rear, the GT4 includes a large spoiler and a diffuser. The McLaren Artura GT4 Racing It is powered by a 3.0-liter, V6 twin-turbo engine paired with a seven-speed gearbox with a reverse gear. The Artura GT4 is built with bespoke motorsport-specific components to enhance performance, durability and serviceability. The GT4 race car features LED headlights and lightweight alloy wheels. You can choose from a comprehensive list of options to support a range of competition and track environments. Lights specifically designed for night racing are among the many available options. Ferrari Atelier Leather Any exterior paint color can be applied to either a Tailor Made or Atelier build. A client can explore any of the 160-plus paint samples featured at the Ferrari New York Showroom. Likewise, the New York Atelier team can develop a livery or dream lines for the exterior. A livery alone does not make a car Tailor Made. In New York, there is a dedicated Specialist & Photoshop designer to guide every Tailor Made and Atelier client experience. So how does the Tailor Made program work in contrast to Atelier? First off, unlike Atelier, it’s limited to an exclusive selection of buyers - not all prospective buyers. Ferrari Atelier Personalization A team of Ferrari experts that includes a personal designer assists the buyer in creating a certain vision for their car. The team is there to help you, the customer, but is also responsible for upholding the prestige and traditions of the illustrious Ferrari brand. Team members ensure that every element of your vehicle is unique. Here, you can sample different materials and choose the ones they prefer. The designer will interpret your wishes for your Ferrari and even showcase a virtual preview of the unique model. You also have access to three custom Ferrari collections from which you can draw inspiration. Ferrari 296 GTB at Ferrari Silicon Valley Three collections are available as a starting point for the Tailor Made program, and each is closely connected to Ferrari’s DNA. They are: Scuderia, Classica and Inedita – reflect the sporting soul, the heritage and the innovation of the brand respectively. Ferrari customers can then take inspiration from one or more of these collections, adapting the various elements according to their tastes. You are given maximum freedom of choice with regard to the combinations they use, enabling an unprecedented level of exclusivity to be achieved, with a range of new solutions and innovative materials to choose from – the result of continuous experimentation and the influence of new trends from outside the automotive industry. Ferrari's Tailor Made Program highlights: • Provides an array of standard (homologated) leathers and Alcantara for the interior, along with offering several out-of-range, semi-aniline leather options. • The Configurator program is available to facilitate the design; however, in New York, there is also a dedicated Atelier Photoshop expert to enhance the build beyond the Configurator e.g. design liveries • Atelier is ideal for clients who want a degree of personalization and the opportunity to infuse their personality into a design, without requiring highly-specialized interior materials. Custom Order Your Car with Ferrari Atelier • The essence of Tailor Made is the interior. A design is created around a concept, guided by the program’s three pillars: Classica, Scuderia & Inedita. • The program applies highly specialized, non-automotive materials. Some of the many examples include furniture leather, technical fabrics, luxury textiles, suiting, etc. These materials can be placed anywhere in the car, excluding homologated areas. Tailor Made also offers special seat patterns. • Photoshop is used entirely to design the car; there is no Configurator for Tailor Made. • Tailor Made clients typically have a great appreciation for all design, enjoy a very high level of unique, personalized products, and exhibit the willingness & patience to embark on a more involved design journey with Ferrari. The New Fully Electric Bentley is So Powerful You Might Need to Adjust the Settings

The New Fully Electric Bentley is So Powerful You Might Need to Adjust the Settings.

The future of Bentley is electric. And powerful. Perhaps too powerful for some drivers with a weak stomach. The British luxury automaker has grabbed headlines with its stated intention of going “fully electric” by the year 2030. The future of Bentley is electric. And powerful. In fact, Bentley CEO Adrian Hallmark says the marquee’s first EV, simply called the Bentley EV, could churn out as much as 1,400 horsepower when it hits showrooms in 2025. That means near-effortless acceleration and a zero to 60 of just 1.5 seconds. "If we're 650 hp now with GT Speed, we will be double that with the BEV,” Hallmark told Automotive News Europe. "But from a zero to 60 mph point of view, there are diminishing returns. The problem is, it's uncomfortable. And then it just becomes (nauseating)." more To mitigate that fact, drivers of the Bentley EV will be able to select a slower acceleration speed if such a lightning quick acceleration makes them feel sick to their stomach. "You can have zero to 60 mph in 2.7 seconds. (For weaker stomachs). Or it can be switched to 1.5 seconds,” Hallmark explained. Bentley Hybrid Car Range The quiet, silky smooth power of the Bentley 12-cylinder engine will be replaced by an even smoother - and quieter - electric motor. The new Bentley will ride atop a PPE platform. That's the same one that sits beneath the Audi Q6 E-Tron and Porsche Macan EV. Bentley’s "Beyond100" strategy has the automaker committing to becoming a global pioneer in the sustainable auto industry. And it means becoming fully carbon-neutral, from the Bentley factory to the cars it creates – all by 2030. Bentley’s suppliers are also expected to meet minimum sustainability standards – “and by 2025, our entire global retailer network will be carbon neutral too,” the company said in a recent statement. Bentley Motors EV Interior Moreover, the strategy has accelerated in recent months with the announcement of the ‘Five-in-Five’ plan, which will envisions and plans out five all-electric Bentley vehicles launched – one each year from 2025 onward – at which point the entire Bentley product range will be electric A growing number of vehicles across Bentley’s  Flying Spur and Bentayga ranges are already available with hybrid powertrains. And they are being joined by the Bentayga EWB, Continental GT and GTC. In terms of styling of the new EV, little is known. "What we will not do is try and make them look like electric cars," Hallmark told the media recently. Bentley Motors EV Interior Illuminator Console Two years ago, Bentley previewed its fully electric future with the EXP 100 GT, a concept model whose sleek shape and scissor-like doors caused a stir. The iconic British luxury automaker is investing $3.4 billion over the coming decade to build electric vehicles at its facility in Crewe, United Kingdom. Before the arrival of its first EV, the brand intends to offer hybrid versions of every model in its lineup. The luxury automaker plans to exclusively offer electrified models, including all-electric and plug-in hybrids, beginning in 2026. Bentley Motors EV Rear You can currently purchase plug-in hybrid versions of its Bentayga SUV for $160,000 and Flying Spur sedan for $208,000. The Bentayga already encompasses innovative technology and mind-blowing luxury to create a vehicle that outperforms everywhere you go. Not only do you enjoy all the comfort of a leather- and tech-filled interior but you can choose from a variety of options to make this vehicle truly yours. Bentley Motors EV Seats For the powertrain you choose from the 443-hp hybrid with a turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 and an electric motor or the 542-hp twin-turbo V-8 that will get you from zero to 60 in just 3.8 sections. All Bentay gas utilize an eight-speed automatic transmission and come standard with all-wheel drive. You might also like: Porsche Has Invested $83 Million in Rimac. What is the Croatian Hypercar Company Doing Now? The British automaker is taking another impressive step toward its electric future with the Flying Spur Hybrid. This new hybrid Bentley highlights the British automaker’s ability to combine sustainable design with exquisite and luxurious craftsmanship along with truly effortless performance. Bentley Motors Going Fully Electric It’s the most advanced Flying Spur ever built thanks to the latest technology that brings three driving modes via its combined gasoline-powered engine and electric power. At your fingertips: EV Drive mode allows you to make short journeys on electric power alone. Hybrid mode enables the car to toggle between the petrol engine and electric power, to make your journey as simple as possible. The third option is Hold mode, where your car relies mainly on its petrol engine with some electric propulsion, balanced by regenerative braking to recoup battery power. The Flying Spur Hybrid is the second Bentley hybrid to be launched. With a 2.9 liter twin-turbocharged petrol engine and a powerful 100kW electric motor, the Flying Spur Hybrid offers effortless power as you surge forward into your day. Thanks to the additional torque delivered by the electric motor, you can get from zero to 60 in just 4.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 177 mph. And when you are in electric mode, traveling within the lap of luxury is a near silent experience, making this the perfect car for quiet conversation or even reading a book while someone else does the driving. Bentley Fully-Electric Car In fact, for passengers, it’s a little like flying in your own private jet. But lest you forget it’s a Bentley, you can still make out the unmistakable exhaust note arising from the car’s quad oval tailpipes. It’s a beautiful sound. McLaren Artura Jubilee Edition

A Royally Impressive Hyper Car Befitting a Queen: The Special Jubilee Edition McLaren Artura Stuns with Beauty and Performance.

Queen Elizabeth may love her corgi-toting Range Rovers but that hasn’t stopped another British luxury automaker from celebrating the Platinum Jubilee. McLaren has in fact developed a new platinum paint color – and a special edition sports car - to celebrate Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee. McLaren honors Queen Elizabeth II in her Platinum Jubilee Year And there’s a solid link between the two entities aside from their status as thoroughly British: The queen herself helped open the McLaren Technology Center nearly two decades ago. more The Platinum Jubilee celebrates the queen’s 70 years on the throne so it’s a perfect time to introduce a new royal color. Check out: What’s the Deal with the Rimac Nevera? Everything You Need to Know About this Mysterious Electric Hypercar. The special silvery hue was painstakingly created over a full eight days by McLaren Special Operations, which put it through durability and application testing to make sure it dazzled the entire automotive world. McLaren honors Queen Elizabeth II in her Platinum Jubilee Year You, the customer, will be able to opt for this paint color for “years to come,” according to McLaren. Additionally, McLaren has made a one-off Artura Supercar for the same Jubilee celebration. The unique hybrid, 661 hp supercar is, of course, finished in that custom platinum paint we previously mentioned. The jubilee supercar comes from the British luxury automaker’s in-house bespoke division known as McLaren Special Operations (MSO). It’s the same division that creates custom McLarens for an exclusive segment of serious collectors. And the same team developed a special tool and press to create a unique badge for the supercar that simply spells out “Elizabeth II.” And although the McLaren Artura is a limited edition, don’t fret. The platinum “jubilee” paint on the hybrid will be available to all collectors for years to come. McLaren’s advanced coatings partner AkzoNobel analyzed different lighting to create the very special metallic pigment befitting of a queen. The expert paint developers then refined the finish over an entire eight-day period. The result? An uber-striking hue that would dazzle even QE2 herself. McLaren Artura Motor “It has been an honor for MSO to create a new platinum paint in celebration of Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee this year,” Ansar Ali, managing director of McLaren Special Operations, said in a statement. “This special paint, which will be available for customers to select for years to come, will be a fitting tribute to mark this historic milestone.” Aside from those tweaks, McLaren didn’t change much else on the Artura. So you can always buy a “regular” Artura (starting at $225,000) and know you are getting something very close. Especially if you choose the special jubilee platinum paint for the exterior. The Artura is McLaren’s first-ever series-production high-performance hybrid car. It’s part of the “Super Series” category, along with the 720s, and comes with an aerodynamic body that weighs just 3,303 pounds. McLaren Artura Motor Powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged V-6 that cranks out 577 hp and 431 ft-lbs of torque, the Artura also has an electric motor that kicks in an additional 94 hp and 161 ft-lbs of torque. It will get you from zero to 62 mph in just 3.0 seconds and reach a searing top speed of 205 mph. The battery pack enables a top speed of 81 mph and a range of 19 miles if you are driving in electric mode alone. The hybrid McLaren Artura was revealed at an event on Thursday at McLaren's Technical Center in the UK. McLaren spared nothing in creating the jubilee edition. They even developed a special tool and press to create a new badge. The new McLaren Artura, which came out in 2021, is the second hybrid McLaren after the legendary P1. McLaren honors Queen Elizabeth with a Jubilee Edition Car It takes about 2.5 hours to charge the Artura from zero to 80 percent, according to the British automaker. But even if the battery "runs out" there is always something in reserve for starting the engine. What else would you expect from a McLaren? Check out our latest McLaren for sale.

The VW Golf is Iconic - And Now You Can Accessorize from Front to Back it to Add to the that Wow Factor.

The Volkswagen Golf has become a classic. As a compact car with a cool look and plenty of pep, the Golf became an instant automotive icon. In fact, it’s shape that was considered revolutionary for its time. Its creator, Giorgio Giugiaro, designed what VW calls "an incredibly angular car" that is popular to this day. Giugiaro named it “Golf”, a moniker derived from the German word for Gulf Stream. Not only is it affordable but it’s fast, responsive, and great looking. And, best of all, the VW Golf can be tricked out with special Golf accessories that allow you to improve your Golf over time. Volkswagen add-ons are specifically crafted for cool looks and easy installation. Best of all, we ship directly to you! more Here’s a list of some of our favorite accessories for your Golf. Seat covers Protect your Golf’s front seats with VW seat covers meant specifically for your special hatchback. Car mats, aka "automobile floor mats," are designed to protect a vehicle's floor from wear, dirt, and corrosion from salt and other chemicals you and your passengers might bring in. One major reason to use a mat is to keep your Golf looking clean and tidy. They work well because they can be removed for a good scrubbing and then put back in place. Seat covers are well-designed do more for your VW than you might think. Seat covers act as protectants that safeguard your seats from dirt and liquid - and they come in a variety of materials, from fabric to sheepskin. However, seat covers can also significantly improve your commuting comfort. Even better, they give your cabin that tailored custom look you love. Their materials can range from mesh to canvas to velour/jacquard – even leather and sheepskin. Our vote: Always choose genuine OEM VW seat covers for your Golf. They are designed just for your car so you get a great fit. Headrest Covers Headrest covers allow you to drive in style, enjoy the comfort and protect your headrest from dirt and grime, wear and tear. Trunk Organizer A trunk organizer for things like groceries can change your life for the better. Once you use one you might never want to be without a trunk organizer again. Not only does it make road trips and running errands easier but it will keep your groceries and other items well organized and protect them from tipping over, spilling, or rolling around. Spoilers They look cool and perform a function. Spoilers are intended to improve airflow above and below (and around) vehicles to reduce wind resistance, which is also called drag. They also take advantage of air to create more downforce and allow better grip at high speeds. In other words, they are designed to “spoil” airflow to reduce any negative effects. They started to be widely used in the 1960s as automakers sought to improve the aerodynamics of various racing and performance vehicles. Later on, federal fuel economy regulations pushed automakers to improve the aerodynamics of their cars in order to create higher mileage ratings. That’s because a car with less wind resistance uses less fuel at highway speeds. A well-designed and constructed rear wing will act like an upside-down aircraft wing to produce downforce instead of lift. But sticking anything poorly designed on the exterior of a vehicle is bound to disrupt the aerodynamics that were designed into it – so always choose an OEM VW spoiler for your Golf. VW Logo Key Fob Not up for spending a fortune on expensive parts and accessories for your Golf? How about this VW logo key fob – to remind you of your beloved Golf even when you are away from it? Roadside Assistance Kit You never know when you might need help on the highway and this roadside assistance kit from VW s just what you want when you’re road tripping in your Golf this summer. Whether your car battery dies and leaves you stranded in the desert or if you or someone needs some bandages quickly, the kit comes with assistance items for any number of dangers. It includes: A padded carrying bag Booster cables Warning triangle Multi-tool with pliers Blades and screwdriver LED flashlight Emergency blanket Emergency poncho Whistle Work gloves PVC tape Cable ties 15 adhesive bandages Extra-large bandages 2 knuckle bandages Chrome Trim Golf lovers love to upgrade. And chrome auto trim can give your car striking definition and emphasize its sleek lines—and, with chrome trim molding, it can protect ding-prone paint even as it adds style to your ride. We think they speak for themselves but chrome is a classic and will have you driving in style and turning heads wherever you go in your Golf. Rims A nice set of rims can add an extra bit of bling and beauty to your Golf. Adding just the right rims can make your Golf look like a million bucks, almost like upscale jewelry for your car. Gleaming and sparkling rims will garner you a lot of attention as you cruise down the street in your Golf. Rims also play a functional role on your vehicle, though, protecting your wheel from wear and tear while helping you move about in style. The outward face is what is seen on the outside of the vehicle. Other parts, including the spokes, plate, dish, and bolt circle all help to keep the wheel attached to the car and can even provide support. At $571 each these VW alloy wheels may be pricey but they are a sure-fire way to boost your Golf’s “it” factor. Wheel Caps Not ready to spring for blingy rims for your Golf? You can still boost your wheel look with these VW black center caps. At only $28.76 per wheel, they look great and give your golf a nice tailored look. View our VW Golf inventory.

The good news: It’s filled with cool features, some of which you may not have heard about yet. more People are already talking about its updated “microbus” design, including sharp angles and two-toned color scheme, and its relatively affordable price compared to other EVs. And of course, there's the powerful and fully electric powertrain. In fact, we think it might just blow your mind. You may have heard it’s an update of the classic Volkswagen microbus and that it contains everything you love about the original. Check Out: From People’s “Wagon” to Hippie Bus and Now Fully Electric, the VW Microbus ID.Buzz is Poised to Change the Automotive World Yet Again But here are some of the updates that make the Volkswagen ID.Buzz one for the EV history books: Layout and design It’s got a simple V-shaped interior and plenty of tech. In fact, the dashboard encompasses most of the tech features via a highly intuitive infotainment screen that will respond to your every need. The sunroof and spacious interior make it great for the whole family to enjoy a summer road trip or weekend getaway to the beach. The front area of the bonnet contains the air conditioning vent and luggage compartment while the back area has space for three air vents. The three- and four-door microbus can hold as many as seven passengers. Upfront, the driver has easy access to all the tech via the dash, which contains the signature ID light tech that will illuminate with various navigation guides, an automated voice assistant, and GPS. The second-row seats can be folded to form cool tables, turning your bus' interior into a mini living room. Among other things, this makes it perfect for overnighters, beach trips, and tailgaters. That weird steering wheel First, let's talk about the steering wheel's weird shape. Its oblong and curvy rectangular shape is like nothing we've seen before but it contains many needed controls. This makes it a great space-saving piece of technology because it reserves room on the dash so the driver feels comfortable and focused with all tasks. The spoke-free wheel, trimmed with upscale leather, is like an interactive touchpad, a touch-sensitive steering wheel that allows the driver to operate the drive-in various modes. Among other things, you can operate on-and-off signals and interact with various menu functions. The outer edge of the touchpad on the steering wheel contains a cool-looking honeycomb-like light signature. That battery with rapid charging The 48kWh – 111kWh battery pack sits in the middle of the chassis platform and combines with two motors at both axles. The folks at VW say it can fully charge in just a half-hour. The microbus is said to have an impressive range of about 342 miles. And the total system has an output of 275kW. There are even 230 volts available for using power tools. The ID Buzz is also equipped with solar panels on the roof for an extra charge. This guarantees that the Microbus can still run for about 10 miles if the owner has neglected to charge it. And we are told it can get from zero to 60 in a not-too-shabby 5.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 100 mph. Clearly, not your grandpa’s microbus. Eventually it will be self-driving The ID.Buzz will eventually come with an automated drivetrain that pulls the steering wheel into the dashboard James Bond-like after being enabled. This is all enabled by on-board sensors and cameras to ensure a safe and comfortable driving experience for you and your passengers. The coming ID BUZZ is said to be the first fully autonomous multi-purpose vehicle. A slight push on the steering wheel makes it retract and merge into the instrument panel, switching the I.D. BUZZ from manual control to the fully autonomous “I.D. Pilot” mode that could make it into production by 2025. Jan 9, 2017, according to Volkswagen. According to Motor1.com website: “In this mode, the wheel is decoupled from the steering gear via a newly developed steering column system. The ambient lighting then switches from white light (“Drive”) to mood lighting that is warm and relaxed. At the same time, the distribution of ambient lighting is extended to the rear seating area. Simultaneously, the status of the I.D. BUZZ can be seen at all times on the tablet and the augmented reality head-up display." Volkswagen User-ID The ID.Buzz even knows who will be at the wheel, thanks to the “Volkswagen User-ID." This means you have an individual profile that stores the personal seat and air conditioning settings, your favorite music, the settings of the sound system as well as exterior sound and the navigation system configuration. Lighting is also recorded as are contacts. And best of all this exact profile can be retrieved securely via the cloud. The high-tech microbus also recognizes which person is getting into the car or wants to take the steering wheel at any given time via the authorized user’s smartphone—the Digital Key. As soon as you or that other person approach the bus, the sensor surfaces for opening the door light up. If the person’s hand is close to the surface, that individual door will be opened. According to VW: By using the Volkswagen User-ID and a relevant smartphone app, passengers can also control infotainment functions and input destinations into the navigation system as needed. The route will then be shown on a tablet. Affordable EVs are quite expensive and huge numbers of American consumers are yet to embrace them. But VW is trying to overcome this issue by offering a competitive pricing range for their ID range: Possibly as low as $35,000 to $45,000. And you get a lot for your money. Along with everything else we've already mentioned you can expect the Microbus to have primary navigation and connectivity options as well as VW's progressive car tech. Taken together with the roomy interior, the configurable cabin, and plenty of savings on maintenance and fuel thanks to it being an EV - not to mention its beneficial impact on global warming - the new ID Buzz adds up to long-term fun and savings for you and your family. California electric car law 2035

California: All Car Sales Must Be EVs by the Year 2035

The state of California has announced an aggressive plan for sales of electric car sales to triple in the next four years. The groundbreaking plan calls for 35 percent of all new car purchases be those of electrical vehicles in the next few years – and 100 percent by 2035. It’s all part of the Golden State’s goal to phase out the sale of cars with gas engines by the middle of the coming decade. Here are some quick facts you need to know about the California EV proposal: California Electric Cars: BMW i4 All-Electric Gran Coupe more • The California Air Resources Board proposal would mean that 100 percent of all new car sales in the state are of EVs by the year 2035. • The California plan is significant due to the fact that about 11 percent of all new passenger car sales nationally happen in that state – giving it a big influence over the national auto market. • The plan only affects new car sales -Californians would still be allowed to drive gas-powered cars and sell used ones. • It requires a big increase in charging stations - California has set a goal of having 250,000 charging stations set up by 2025. (Right now there are fewer than 80,000 public charging stations in California). California: All Car Sales Must Be EVs by the Year 2035: Porsche Taycan Check out our latest EV car inventory here. The Biden administration recently restored California’s power to set its own vehicle emissions standards under the Clean Air Act and the federal government has committed $5 billion to build more charging stations throughout the United States. Automobiles contribute about a quarter of California’s total greenhouse gas emissions, making cars the largest single source of emissions. The EV program is just one of the state’s several efforts to massively reduce carbon emissions in the coming years. The program is designed to reduce emissions by nearly 384 million metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent between 2026 and 2040. That adds up to a little less than all emissions across California’s economy in a single year. California’s rules would require 35 percent of new car sales for model year 2026 to be zero-emission vehicles. California Electric Car Law 2035 That means: battery or hydrogen-powered, or plug-in electric hybrids. It’s a sharp increase from 2021, when just 12 percent of all cars sold in the state were zero-emission, according to the state board. Buy a Porsche Taycan online through indiGO Direct. About 1 million of the 26 million cars currently on California roads are zero-emission. Moreover, the coming regulations would also require electric cars to achieve at least 150 miles per charge, an increase from 50 miles. Most luxury EVs already far exceed that. The rules would also establish an eight-year/100,000-mile battery warranty. Under the new rules all carmakers that sell in California would be required to hit the 35 percent sales mark for EVs. California: All Car Sales Must Be EVs : Porsche Taycan California is the first state in the union to mandate the phasing out of all gasoline-powered vehicles –the beginning of the end for combustion engines in the highly populated state. Many luxury car manufacturers have already announced plans to take their fleets fully electric in the next ten years. Audi, for instance, has announced it will end development of new internal combustion engine models by the end of 2026 and focus solely on full-electric from thereon. After 2026, the automaker will develop only battery-powered models. Take, for instance, the A3 and A4 models. They will not have combustion-engine successors but will be replaced by the battery-powered A3 e-tron and A4 e-tron. California EV Cars: Audi e-Tron The electric evolution of Audi's A5 and A6 models will follow a similar timetable. And the last internal combustion engine model built by Audi will likely be the Q8, which will launch in 2026 alongside an electric variant, the Q8 e-tron.

They Said it Would Never Happen - but the Ferrari SUV is a Real Thing.

Uber-luxurious SUVs are selling like hotcakes within the high-end auto industry. But if you’d said a decade ago that Ferrari would create a sport utility vehicle many sports car enthusiasts would have said that day would never come. The words Ferrari and SUV just didn't belong in the same sentence, right? Wrong. Here it comes! The Ferrari Purosangue, which is Italian for “pure blood” is slated to begin production in 2022 and begin deliveries soon after. Here's what we know so far about this Ferrari SUV: more It will be fast. The Italian automaker’s first SUV is powered by a V12 - and there’s a hybrid version that combines a V8 with an electric motor. Two fully electric models are also in development and will hit the market in the coming years. The driving experience is ah-mazing “I’ve driven it several times in the hills of Maranello,” Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna told the media recently. “And I can testify that the driving experience is really astonishing.” In fact, he said it will exceed all expectations. It’s long and sleek Ferrari has not unveiled much about what the Purosangue will look like or what it will cost. But early, heavily camouflaged photographs of the car suggest the all-wheel-drive vehicle is long and sleek. In fact, thanks to its raised ride height it seems to look more like a glamorous GT cruiser than an SUV. Featuring a long bonnet and swept greenhouse, the folks at Maranello are calling it a Ferrari Utility Vehicle. It will be all about you, the driver Being a Ferrari, it’s all about you, the driver, and your driving experience. Expect a driver-focused layout in the cockpit. It also has room for four adults and a generous cargo bay. And it’s filled with high-end leathers as well as sporty carbon-fiber trim. The exterior of this Ferrari SUV is still a bit of a mystery No detailed photos have been released. But according to the Motor1 website it will likely have quad exhaust tips. “We also believe the production-ready SUV will have larger wheels, but the rest of the vehicle is seemingly the finished product.”LED daytime running lights have also been spied and seem to be positioned above chunky air intakes, according to the website. To recap, here are the big features you might want to know about the Purosangue: It will ride on a new front mid-engine architecture with support for all-wheel drive. It has a dual-clutch gearbox, air suspension, and hybrid powertrains. The four-seat interior will accommodate a rear-seat entertainment system and there’s rumors a flagship V12 will join electrified V6 and V8 engines. According to CNBC, the Ferrari SUV comes at just the right time. News reports suggest Ferrari had a strong fourth quarter last year, a spike that was caused by massive wealth creation during the Covid-19 pandemic. The Italian company delivered a record 11,155 cars in 2021, up 22 percent from 2020. Now, its order book is “the strongest ever,” stretching into 2023, the company said. Along with releasing the new SUV, Ferrari is also gearing up for the shift to electric vehicles. The Italian automaker aims to be carbon neutral by 2030 and is developing a range of hybrid and electric models to move it in that direction. Its first fully electric vehicle is due for release in 2025. The Italian automaker launched the V-8 hybrid SF90 Stradalein 2019. Most recently, the company unveiled the 296 GTB with a plug-in V-6 powertrain. “It’s important that we look and see how new technologies can help our brand,” Vigna told the media. “For sure, the digital technologies, Web 3.0 and using the blockchain and NFTs is an area that can be interesting for us.” Interested in more information about the Ferrari SUV?
